The K12 Technology Summit
November 7-9. 2010 * Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort † San Antonio, TX
The K12 Technology Summit is a private, invitation-only event created specifically for senior-level administrators who are responsible for overseeing the information technology strategy of the nation's leading school districts. This summit was developed with the goal of enabling K12 CIOs to share best practices for supporting the academic mission and meeting the increasing demand on their IT organizations.
The K12 Technology Summit is a discussion driven event; therefore you are a participant at the summit…not just an attendee. Participation in this summit provides senior administrators with the opportunity to discuss and debate the challenges facing their districts in an intimate environment that cannot be found at any other industry events. From high power keynote addresses to intimate round table discussions, our unique summit format provides administrators with the essential knowledge take-away that will justify your precious time away from the office.

2010 Keynote Speaker: Nido Qubein
Nido R. Qubein has worn many hats. He’s a best-selling author, motivational speaker, businessman, consultant and philanthropist. In January 2005, Qubein became the seventh president of High Point University, a private liberal arts campus in High Point, North Carolina. He’s been transforming High Point University’s (HPU) small town image with precision, tenacity and speed. In his first 28 months as president, Qubein raised an astounding $100 million and he says it was accomplished “with no formal campaign, no brochures and no feasibility studies.” Meanwhile, Qubein has never held a
job in academia before this one.
Since 1974, Nido Qubein has given more than 5,000 presentations, received every award in professional speaking and is represented by the best speaker bureaus. He is considered both a motivational speaker and a business speaker with a range of topics covering everything from time management to branding. In 2008 Forbes Magazine ranked Qubein the 6th most motivational speaker in the world.
